About The Event

Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, a precursor to his Ninth Symphony, combines piano, orchestra, and chorus in a grand finale that explores themes of joy and unity. “Nizkor-A Journey of Remembrance” is a choral and orchestral work structured as a Jewish memorial service, incorporating traditional elements such as psalms, prayers, and rituals associated with mourning in Judaism. The composition, premiering during Jewish American Heritage Month, blends 21st-century harmonic practices with Klezmer- influenced textures, guiding listeners through the stages of mourning toward acceptance and peace.
