About The Event

Born in Russia and raised in Israel, Yuri Liberzon has performed in venues including the 92nd Street Y in New York, Marlow Guitar Series in Rockville, Md., the Legion of Honor in San Francisco,  the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek, Calif., Florida State University, Oregon State University, Santa Clara University, Murov Music College in Novosibirsk, Russia, and many guitar societies. He has collaborated in concert with renowned musicians including flutist Josué Casillas and guitarists Grisha Goryachev, Patrick O’Connell, and Piotr Pakhomkin. Liberzon has performed with the Diablo Symphony Orchestra, the Tahoe Symphony Orchestra, the Gold Coast Chamber Players, Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, and Quartet San Francisco.

Liberzon has released three albums in collaboration with Grammy-winning sound engineer and producer Nahuel Bronzini:  Ascension in 2015, ¡Acentuado! on Soundset Recordings in 2017, and 3 Violin Sonatas by J.S. Bach on Laudable Records in 2020. Most recently, Liberzon released an album of music by Konstantin Vassiliev on the Naxos label, featuring 70 minutes of music including world premieres that Liberzon commissioned. Liberzon’s transcriptions of music of Domenico Scarlatti and J.S. Bach have been published by Soundboard Magazine and are distributed in Europe by Bergmann Edition.
